Our sun is a type G main-sequence star.

The temperature of these starts range between 5,300 and 6,000 kelvins and the surface ranges from 0.85 to 1.15 M☉ (solar masses).

As you probably know our sun is just a star it’s our closest most familiar star but it’s still just a star the sun is known as a yellow dwarf star
