Why did civilization appear in Mesopotamia?

Civilizations rose in ancient time because of one reason: Rivers. Rivers allowed fertile land, better communication, and more opportunities for trade. Mesopotamia in particular had two rivers providing fertile and hospitable land- The Euphrates and The Tigris. I hope this helps!

Mesopotamia means between rivers. civilization formed because it was between the tigris and euphrates river. this gave good water source and animals near. along with good soil for crops.
