Hey there!
What we need to do here is to combine like terms.
First terms: 8x + 4x = 12x
Second terms: -2y + 4y = 2y
Last terms: -6 (there’s only one of these)
Putting it all together, we have:
12x + 2y - 6
This doesn’t match with any of the options given, however I see that the first option is cut off, so I assume that this is the first option.
Your answer is a. 12x + 2y - 6
