the number of PI is 3.14 why do we use a special symbol for it​

Because 3.14 is only an estimation, pi is actually a never ending number, and so far we have only discovered so many digits (which you can google). We use 3.14 for equations that don’t need to be exact, and the symbol to represent the actual number, meaning it will be more accurate.
