filthy and sickly. soldiers would live in the same area for 4 years disease would be spread and injuried soldiers would have pretty bad infection

the trenches were filled with mud and disease most soldiers had shell shock and where constantly hiding in their sleeping areas. they barely had enough food for everyone and rats were everywhere
