Step 1: Write out the formula

By the intersecting secant theorem (interior),

[tex]z=\frac{x+y}{2}[/tex]

Step 2: Write out the given values and substitute them into the formula

[tex]x=40^0,y=52^0,z=m<1[/tex]

Therefore,

[tex]m<1=\frac{40^0+52^0}{2}=\frac{92^0}{2}=46^0[/tex]

Hence, m<1 = 46 degrees
