As the electron moves, does the electric potential energy of the system increase, decrease, or stay the same?

As the electron moves, the electric potential energy of the system decreases because energy consists of kinetic and potential energy. Since energy is conserved, when there's more kinetic energy (movement) there is less potential energy.
