Why is teenage sexuality such a worry today, compared to in the past?

In the past, it could be covered up by familial and social denial. In addition, there is education today that does not focus on proper safe behaviors, such as proper condom usage and STI contraction. By not making teens aware of what could happen if sexuality is not practiced properly and safely, issues could result.
