For basics divide both 5 and 2 by 2. That would equal 2.5/1 or 2.5

You can't reduce since 5 is a prime number. One way you could do is, put it in a mixed fraction. Then the answer is 2 1/2. Or you can put it as a decimal then the answer is 2.5
