When you multiply powers inside the parenthesis, you add them.

3+5=8

(5^8)^5

When powers are outside the parenthesis, you multiply them.

5*8= 50

5^40

Remember: you keep the constant the same. (5)

“D” is the answer.

I hope this helps!
