You're in middle school, so I'm guessing that you are NOT
an engineer or a math teacher.

If that's true, then every number you use in your everyday life
is a real number, and it's most likely a rational number too.

I don't think you've been introduced yet to numbers that are
not real or not rational.

Numbers are used everyday to read street signs, find the price of something when you go food shopping, as you see they are uses for many reasons
