Danielle poured 3/4 gallon of water from a 7/8 gallon bucket. How much water is left in the bucket?

3/4 = 6/8 after you multiply top and bottom by 2

Subtract 3/4 from 7/8 and we get
7/8 - 3/4 = 7/8 - 6/8 = (7-6)/8 = 1/8

There is 1/8 of a gallon left
