Hi!

Let's write a system of equations o solve this.

(r=rose
g=geranium)

4r+g=50
8r+11g=118

Isolate g on one side in the first equation.

4r-4r+g=50-4r
g=50-4r

Now put in the value of g.
8r+11(50-4r)=118

Solve
Use the distribution property
8r+550-44r=118
8r-44r=-432
-36r=-432
r=12

Now put in the value of r

8*12+11g=118
96+11g=118
11g=22
g=2

One rose costs $12
One geranium costs $2

Hope this helps! :)
