Hey there!

The equation for axis of symmetry is [tex]\frac{-b}{2a}[/tex]

The A, B, and C are:

Ax+By+C= f(x)

A=4  B=-8 C=12

So we have:

[tex]\frac{-(-8)}{2(4)}[/tex]

Two negatives make a positive.

[tex]\frac{8}{8}[/tex]

8/8= 1

x=1 is the correct answer.

I hope this helps!
