The racially divided community firsts disrespects then accepts Radio as their own.

Explanation:

In the movie, in a racially sensitive town a white coach starts coaching a black handicapped athlete called Radio and starts getting scrutiny for it.

He starts gaining sympathy from his townsfolk due to his genuine skill and motivational story as a handicapped man who is trying to pursue his dreams despite his disadvantages.

The town, despite its racial tensions starts to accept Radio for the person he is and becomes proud of him.
