Answer: 15 million square km.

Explanation:

The rainforests cover about 2 percent of the total area of the Earth surface but the 50 percent of the animals and plants of the earth live in the rainforest. The rainforests can be found in different countries of the world.  These can be found in Alaska, Canada, Asia, America and Africa. The rainforest cannot be found in Alaska because the temperature in Alaska is too cold.
