or 12= (m+n+s+p+q)/5

Again,

New Mean = (m+4+n-3+s+6+p-2+q+8)/5 [∵ n = 5]

or, New Mean = {(m+n+s+p+q)+13}/5

or, New Mean = (60+13)/5 = 73/5 [from eq (i)]

∴ New Mean = 14.6 Ans.
