Answer:

An aptitude test tests for your perspective (future) ability to acheive some task. It's supposed to show how you'll perform in the future. An achievement test tests for your current knowledge in an area. *edit* An achievement test is NOT necessarily an IQ test. And an aptitude test is NOT limited to testing your interests or your perspective job/career field.
