Solution

Apply exponent rule

[tex]\begin{gathered} x^{\frac{1}{2}-\frac{1}{6}}=x^{\frac{3-1}{6}} \\ \\ \\ x^{\frac{2}{6}}=x^{\frac{1}{3}} \end{gathered}[/tex][tex]a=\frac{1}{3}[/tex]
